This afternoon the MVFC embarked on the first major capital building upgrade since 1985. With the strike of the pen, President Greg Tietmeyer signed the contract between the Millville Vol. Fire Company and Morton Buildings, Inc. for the construction of a new 7,300 sq/ft sub-station at 34237 Omar Rd. in Clarksville. The new sub-station will take the place of the renovated garage that has been serving as our temporary building for the past two years. The new 81 x 90 building will have two drive through bays as well as two additional standard bays. The interior build-out will include four bunk rooms, lounge, radio room and kitchen while the 2nd floor mezzanine level leaves over 2000 sq/ft for future expansion. The MVFC is still seeking donations to help fund this capital improvement in service to our community.
