Motor Vehicle Accident - Sandy Cove Road

On Thursday January 29 at 4:28 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a washdown of a motor vehicle accident on Sandy Cove Road off of Cedar Neck Road. The firefighters arrived to a single vehicle accident involving a car. The operator of the motor vehicle lost control, went off the side of the road and spun around, impacting a utility pole with the rear of the vehicle. Any occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene prior to the accident being called in. The firefighters stood by as the vehicle was safely loaded onto a rollback. Fire Chief Shawn Evans placed the equipment and firefighters back in service after being released from the scene by the Delaware State Police. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
