Landing Zone - Millville Volunteer Fire Company Station 1 - Atlantic Avenue

On Thursday, March 19 at 11:19 a.m., Millville Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance A84 was dispatched along with the Sussex County Paramedics to a subject injured by a fall at a construction site in the 60 Block of Atlantic Avenue. The attending medical personnel determined the injured drywall worker should be flown to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, Maryland for more expedient and additional treatment. At 11:26 a.m. the Millville Volunteer Fire Company received the dispatch to establish a landing zone at Station 1 on Atlantic Avenue for the Christiana Care medical helicopter Life Net 2. Truck Lieutenant Greg Hocker oversaw the logistics of the landing zone task. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
