On Easter Sunday at 1625hrs the MVFC, Sussex County Paramedics and DSP Medevac Helicopter Trooper 2 were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. Units went responding within 2 minutes of dispatch and arrived to find a head on crash with one vehicle in a ditch and a motorcycle and rider in the roadway. The rider was found to be in critical condition and was rapidly treated and transported to Millville Station 2 where a Landing Zone was established. The patient was transferred to Trooper 2 where he was flown to a Trauma Center. The driver of the SUV had minor injuries and was transported to an area medical facility for evaluation. 84-18 (Walls) had the Command and turned the scene over to DSP for the investigation. DelDot responded with two arrow board trucks and assisted fire police with shutting down Powell Farm Rd. "DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY"
