On Saturday May 16 at 7:32 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 32000 Block of Roxana Road. Within a minute of the dispatch, emergency units were responding to the alarm. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle head-on collision accident near the entrance to the sales complex of Millville By The Sea. Both operators of the vehicles received initial treatment at the scene by the Sussex County Paramedics and ambulance personnel, and were then transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. The situation was declared under control at 7:59 a.m. Chief Shawn Evans turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
