Reported Pedestrian Hit By Motor Vehicle - 36000 Camp Barnes Road

On Saturday May 23 at 6:54 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Medical Helicopter Trooper 2 were dispatched to a reported pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle in the 36000 block of Camp Barnes Road. The responders arrived to a male lying on the roadway beside his pickup truck, which was on the shoulder of the road. A landing zone for Trooper 2 was established in a field adjacent to the scene. The medical personnel on scene provided initial treatment and stabilized the individual prior to loading him in Trooper 2, who was then transported to Christiana Medical Center. Chief Shawn Evans turned the scene over to the Delaware State Police. The accident is being investigated as a hit-and-run incident.
