At 1:06 p.m. on Friday, January 8, the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a structure fire in the 10 Block of Winward Way in The Greens. Apparatus began responding within one minute of the dispatch. The responders arrived to a kitchen stove fire that had already been extinguished upon arrival by the occupants. Positive pressure ventilation was initiated to help clear the residence of remaining smoke. Chief Richie Walls declared the situation under control at 1:26 p.m. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
