On Saturday January 16 at 1:59 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Powell Farm and Roxana Roads. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle accident involving a Lexus and Chevrolet Suburban with air bag deployments. No special extrication was necessary for the operator of either vehicle. Each driver received initial care at the scene by medical personnel and was then transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes for additional evaluation. Rescue Captain R.C. Evans, Jr. declared the situation under control at 2:29 p.m. and turned the scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
