On Thursday April 1 at 11:38 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Sussex County Paramedics and Delaware State Police medical helicopter Trooper 2 were dispatched to a subject injured from a fall at Hocker’s Super Center 34960 Atlantic Avenue with a request for a landing zone. Ambulance B84 responded within a minute of the dispatch to a corrected location of Hocker’s G & E located at 379-404 Cedar Neck Road. The emergency responders arrived to a construction worker who had fallen off of scaffolding. Initial treatment was provided at the scene by the emergency medical personnel. The injured subject was then transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury by the Delaware State Police medical helicopter Trooper 2 for additional treatment. Deputy Chief Doug Scott declared the scene under control at 12:07 p.m. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
