Motor Vehicle Fatality - 32300 Block Vines Creek Road

On Sunday, April 4 at 2:49 a.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 32300 Block of Vines Creed Road. The firefighters and emergency medical personnel arrived to a single vehicle accident. A Mitsubishi 3000GT traveling east on Vines Creek Road ran off the right side of the road, impacting a utility pole. Emergency medical personnel provided initial care to the two occupants. The passenger was then transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes with life threatening injuries that proved to be fatal. Frankford Volunteer Fire Company provided a second ambulance to the scene to transport the driver of the vehicle to Beebe Medical Center for treatment. Assistant Chief Shawn Evans declared the situation under control at 3:36 a.m., and turned the scene over to the Delaware State Police Fatal Accident Investigation Reconstruction Team for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
