Millville Vol. Fire Co. regrets to inform you of the passing of Life Member Oliver "Duke" Derrickson on January 4, 2012. Viewing will be held on January 7, 2012 at Mariners Bethel Church in Ocean View, Delaware at 12:00 pm. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will be held at the Millville Cemetary in Millville, DE. Duke joined the Millville Volunteer Fire Company as a Junior Member in 1970 when he was a student at Indian River High School. During Duke's 42 years of service with the fire company, he held the office of Rescue Assistant in his early years, and then the position of Custodian for 35 years. Duke's stories and lively personality will be greatly missed by all.
