Shed Fire with Exposure to Residence - Blackwater Village

On Monday February 6th, at 18:52 hrs the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a shed fire on Chippiwa Drive in Blackwater Village. Engine 84-6 went responding with 84-21 and 5 within 3 minutes. Engine 6 arrived on scene and Captain Temple reported a shed fully involved with slight exposure to a residence. Captain Temple established command and had the crew of Engine 6 pull a 300' , 1"3/4 hose line and begin fire attack. Shortly after 84-4, 84-1, and 84-8 arrived on scene, at which point Assistant Chief Kauffman assumed command from Captain Temple. The Fire was placed under control at 19:25 hrs. Units on scene were 84-6, 84-4, 84-1, 84-8, Tanker 84, and FM11. The scene was turned over to the Delaware State Fire Marshal's office.
