On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at 11:55 a.m., the Millvile Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to an outside fire at the location of Hickory Street and Parker House Road in Shady Dell Park.  The firefighters arrived to a brush fire that resulted when a contractor who was clearing trees on Hickory Street had a tree shift in his load, which caused a utility pole to fall.  This resulted in a fire starting along the street and road that moved into surrounding brush.  Captain Criag Temple declared the situation under control at 12:13 p.m.  Units responding to the outside fire were: Brush Truck 84-0, Engine 84-1, 84-2, and the Fire Police.
