On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, at 4:20 p.m., the Millville and Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Companies, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Vines Creek, West and Sandy Landing Roads. The ambulance crew, Paramedics and firefighters arrived to a two-vehicle accident involving a Chevrolet Tahoe and a Lexus ES350. The operator of the Tahoe was out of his vehicle and refused treatment for any injuries. The driver of the Lexus was stabilized and removed from his vehicle with no mechanical extrication needed. He was then transported to Beebe Medical Center in Lewes by the Dagsboro Fire Company in ambulance A-73 with nonlife threatening injuries. Deputy Chief Bob Magee declared the scene under control at 4:42 p.m. and turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. Units responding to the alarm were: Millville Engines 84-6, 84-1, 84-2, & Rescue 84; Dagsboro ambulance A-73; Sussex County Paramedics; and Millville's Fire Police.
