On Monday, September 1 at 1945 hours, the Millville and Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Companies, Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Medic helicopter Trooper 2 were dispatched to a single vehicle accident with rollover in the vicinity of Central Avenue and Irons Lane. The firefighters and ambulance personnel arrived to a Dodge Dakota extended cab pick-up on its side in a shallow ditch that had two occupants in it. One of the occupants was out of the vehicle. Millville Fire Chief Doug Scott placed Engine Captain Craig Temple in charge of the stabilization of the vehicle and the extrication of the other occupant. Once the occupant was removed and stabilized, the individual was transported to the Peninsula Regional Hospital in Salisbury with non-life threatening injuries. Chief Doug Scott declared the situation under control at 2020 hours and turned the scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. Units on the scene for Millville were: A84, C84, Command 84, 84-1, 84-6, Rescue 84, Traffic Control 84, & Fire Police. Dagsboro's Rescue 73 was also on scene.
