Engine 84-2, so long for now my old friend!

December 03, 2015

It was a sad and happy week here at the MVFC.  Our new engine was placed in service on December 2nd, 2015 and our old engine was donated to the Fire Department Training Network in exchange for future training opportunities for our members.  The old engine "84-2" purchased by the company in 1983 and served the company faithfully for over 30 years.  The engine was dependable and was the favorite piece of fire apparatus of many members of the company.  The new engine has a lot to live up to. Our members attending the FDTN will get to visit an old friend and firefighters from all over the country will get to experience some "old school".
