POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

FULL TIME FIREFIGHTER / EMT

                The Millville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. is accepting applications for TWO fulltime FF/ EMT’s. The position involves responding to all fire and EMS emergencies within and around the Millville fire district. The work schedule will include, a 24hour shift,48 hours off, and a Kelly day (Monday).

Minimum Requirements

·         Minimum of 18 years of age

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Current NREMT and Delaware EMT license

·         Current AED/CPR certificate

·         Valid Delaware driver’s license

·         Current EVO license

·         Lift 150 lbs with one partner

·         Pass a physical agility test, fire/ems written test and practical testing

·         Basic, Structural, Haz-Mat, Vehicle rescue, Driver Operator; or equivalent

·         Must successfully complete a 6-month probation period

·         240 hrs PTO annually (120 hrs after 6 months’ probation)

·         Starting wages $14.00 with annual raises

The position involves responding to all fire and EMS emergencies within and around the Millville fire district. The work schedule will vary, 12 or 24 hour shifts depending on department needs.

Minimum Requirements

·         Minimum of 18 years of age

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Current NREMT and Delaware EMT license

·         Current AED/CPR certificate

·         Valid Delaware driver’s license

·         Current EVO license

·         Lift 150 lbs with one partner

·         Pass a physical agility test

·         Pass fire/ems test and practical testing

·         Basic, Structural, Haz-Mat, Vehicle rescue, Driver Operator; or equivalent

·         Successfully pass a brief candidacy program

Benefits:

·         Wages: $13.00/hr

·         Uniform SHIRTS provided

·         No insurance/state pension offered to part time employees at this time
