Residential Gas Leak in Shady Dell Park

On Friday May 13, 2016, the Millville and Bethany Beach Fire Companies were dispatched to at residential gas leak in the 37000 Block of Mimosa Street in Shady Dell Park.  The responders arrived to a residential propane tank that was leaking.  Fire Chief Doug Scott led a crew toward thte leaking tank using a water curtain for protection.  Chief Scott was able to get the valve to seat itself to mitigate the hazard.  Deputy Chief Cody Lockwood declared the scene under control at 1818 hours.  All units went available at 1934 hours.  Units responding to the alarm were: Millville and Bethany Beach Fire Police, 84 Command, 84-2, Rescue 84, Ambulance A-84, & Quint 70-5.   "DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING THEIR COMMUNITY!"
