Millville VFC was assisted by both Bethany Beach VFC and Roxana VFC. Due to the location, more than 10,000 gallons of water was trucked in to fight this brush fire. An interesting note to this particular fire, there was undomesticated bamboo trees growing in the area and when they ignite, they set off the sound of an explosion. At first, this caused some alarm in the type of fire they were extinguishing.
