On 11 January 2017, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company hosted a Training Seminar titled, "What the Science Doesn't Tell Us". This seminar was presented by Lt. Robert MaGee, Ocean City Career Fire Department.
The seminar was well-attended by firefighters from throughout Sussex County and Maryland.
Lt. MaGee deliberated behavioral influences of fire ventilation, how different categories of materials influence the mode of ventilation to be utilized in fighting a fire and Flashovers.
It was a learning experience for all, especially given Lt. MaGee’s animated style of instruction. Lt. McGee included real-life experiences when teaching this subject which added excitement to his presentation.
