On 18 April 2017, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company was presented with 119 hand-made Teddy Bears from the Mason-Dixon Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 7234.
The presenters from the VFW Ladies Auxiliary were, Roberta Walter, Shirley Strong, Debbie Wood, Carol Weber, Theo Loppatto, Rita Robinson, and Connie Weber.
EMS Chief, John Watson, gladly accepted the Teddy Bears for use in the ambulance and other fire apparatus. All too often a child witnesses their parents or family member require transport by an ambulance. A simple gift of a Teddy Bear can be soothing to a child during a crisis.
