Your Millville Volunteer Fire Company is proud to annouce Deputy Fire Chief Paul Sterling has been elected as President of the Eastern Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). The election took place at the Eastern Division 90th Annual Conference, held in Rehoboth Beach, DE from May 7-9.
The International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) represents the leadership of firefighters and emergency responders worldwide; IAFC members are the world's leading experts in firefighting, emergency medical services, terrorism response, hazardous materials spills, natural disasters, search and rescue, and public safety policy.
The Eastern Division of the IAFC consists of Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Washington, DC with a membership of nearly 1800 members.
Prior to being elected President, Chief Sterling served on the Eastern Division Board of Directors for 9-years, as the Maryland Director. Chief Sterling is a Past President of the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association (1999-200) and Past President of the Maryland State Firemen's Association (2007-2008).
