On Saturday, 10 June 2017, at 1214 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to assist Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company on a structure fire at the Sea Colony’s, Edgewater House.
Arriving units immediately noticed smoke emanating from an upper floor and requested additional fire assistance. This fire incident was confined to one unit on the 11th Floor.
Fire apparatus from, Bethany Beach VFC, Millville VFC, Roxana VFC, Dagsboro VFC, Selbyville VFC, Rehoboth Beach VFC, Frankford VFC, Fire Marshal, Sussex County Paramedic Unit 105, and a cadre of Fire-Police were at the scene.
Bethany Beach VFC, Brain Martin commanded this incident.
This fire was brought under control in less than 1-Hour. Remarkably, no injury was sustained by fire crews or civilians at the Sea Colony.
