On 21 June 2017, my son and I had the honor and privilege of attending the annual Ocean City Fireman’s Parade as representatives from your Millville Volunteer Fire Company. 

The fire apparatus was a mix of the old and new and spanned decades.  If this equipment could only speak, the recounts of fires would be endless!   

Millville was well represented today, Paul Sterling, MVFC Deputy Chief and President of the Eastern Division of the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) was stationed at the Viewing Stand.

Velicia Melson, MVFC Administrative Assistant drove Frankford Volunteer Fire Company’s vintage Cadillac ambulance.

Ocean City Fire Captain, Doug Scott, also past chief of MVFC was operating Ocean City’s Medic Unit in today’s parade.
