On Wednesday, 12 July 2017, at 1830 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company members participated in an exclusive marine training session at Holt’s Landing State Park.

EMS Chief John Watson, who is also a Dive Captain, was leading tonight’s training exercise.  Boat Captain Steve Maneri was instrumental in demonstrating the onboard GPS system and underwater scanning device.  In the unfortunate event that a life is lost in the water, this tool will assist in detecting the remains under water.  

As these pictures depict, this was a well-attended training session.  Special thanks to EMS Chief John Watson and Steve Maneri for sharing their nautical expertise with the students.
