Vehicular Collision on Windmill Drive

July 25, 2017

On Tuesday, 25 July 2017, at 1554 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted and dispatched to Windmill Road and Ridgeshore Lane for traffic accident. In addition, Bethany Beach VFC assisted with an ambulance.

MVFC apparatus comprised of Rescue 84, Engine 84, Ambulance 84 and Command Unit 84-8. BBFVC Ambulance 70-C, along with Sussex County Paramedics 105 and 109.

Past Chief Doug Scott commanded this accident event. Traffic Control was under the supervision of the Fire-Police Units.

Ocean View Police Officer Bowden and Sergeant Ballentine assisted DSP with the collision investigation.

This collision consisted of one Jeep SUV and one New Holland tractor outfitted with a grass mowing unit.

Those injured were transported to a local medical facility for treatment.

Charges are pending the results of DSP investigation.
