Lord Baltimore Elementary School

October 15, 2017

On Thursday, 12 October 2017, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company collectively held their annual Fire Prevention Assembly at Lord Baltimore Elementary School in Ocean View.

EMS Chief John Watson was the Master of Ceremony. He was accompanied by, Cindy Blades, Chairperson of the award ceremony. President Clarke Droney, Deputy Chief Paul Sterling, Chief Doug Scott, Vice President Norman Amendt, FF Craig Temple and Administrative Officer Velicia Melson oversaw this event.

It was requested by Chairperson Cindy Blades to emphasize the dedicated hard work by both EMS Chief John Watson and Administratve Officer Velicia Melson placed into this project to make it such a success.

Chief Shawn Truitt and EMT Trish Scott represented Bethany Beach VFC.

A student from each grade received 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lace trophies. The overall top boy and girl essay students received a new Mongoose bicycle and a safety helmet.

Due to last week’s inclement weather, the Delaware State Fire School will be at LBE this Wednesday to conduct practical evolutions.

A big thank you to LBE Principal Pam Webb for providing such a welcome feeling to the guests that day.
