On Saturday, 28 October 2017, at 1221 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Bethany Beach VFC were alerted to respond to the 36000 Block of Old Mill Road for a Gas Leak.
MVFC Company responded with 2 engines, 1 truck, 1 ambulance and command unit. BBVFC Chief Tom Moore arrived with their command vehicle and took charge of this gas leak event. After utilizing electronic equipment capable of detecting gas, it was found the odor was from an open sewer pipe.
Engine 84-6 was operated by Pump Operator John Stephens, Engine 84-2 Dennis Ayres, Command Unit, Andrew Klink, Ambulance, Erin McCafferty and 84 Truck, Tony Petralia III.
