Appliance Fire-Cedar Landing

On Saturday evening, 3 February 2018, at 1913 hours, your Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company were alerted by Sussex County EOC to respond to the 38000 block of Waterway Drive in the Cedar Landing subdivision for an appliance fire.

MVFC responded with 2 pumpers, 1 ambulance, and one ladder truck. Bethany Beach VFC responded with Quint 4. Units at the scene found a stove emitting sparks. The unit was powered down and removed from the residence.

Chief Andrew Klink commanded this operation. Clarke Droney was the pump operator. Fire-Police were staged along Cedar Neck Road.

There were no reported injuries.
