It is with great sadness and loss that we announce the passing of our Lifemember Ralph L. Hitchens Jr.  Ralph answered his final alarm on February 17, 2020.  Ralph joined the Millville Volunteer FIre Company Inc in February 17, 1976 and remained active until his passing.  Ralph served on many committees during his 44 years of service.  The Ambulance service was of great interest to Ralph.  He served as Ambulance Captain January 1988 - December 1997.  The Antique Committee was his pride and joy, Ralph had a great interest in our 1955 Cadillac Ambulance.  Ralph loved to attend parades and car shows to keep the pride of Millville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. in the eyes of the community we serve.  Ralph's attention to the history of the MVFC and his service on the Archive Committee will be a tremendous loss.  Ralph will be greatly missed by the officers, members and staff of this fire company.  Our deepest sympathy to his mother and the rest of the family.  Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced when appropriate.
