On September 12, 2021 the Millville VFC along with the mutual aid box assignment was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 36000 block of Double Bridges Road. Units arrived to find a single story ranch style home with fire showing from the front porch area of the residence. The fire had extended into the attic space of the home as well. Units were able to bring the fire under control in 30 minutes, all searches were negative and command held all units for extensive overhaul. Units from Roxana, Bethany Beach and Frankford assisted at the scene. Dagsboro VFD provided district coverage during the incident. The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
