Smoke in the building, Bay Forest Recreation Building

On December 19th, 2021 at 0957 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to a possible building fire, a report of smoke in the building, at the Bay Forest Recreation Building in the 36000 block of Shearwater Drive in the Bay Forest Development. Engines 84-2, 84-6 and Rescue 84 made the response. Upon investigation the source of the smoke was determined to be a malfunctioning heating unit. Units operated for approximately 30 minutes.
