On April 14^th, 2022 the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box assignment was dispatched to a reported garage fire in 30000 block of Panyard Alley north of Ocean View.  Upon arrival of Engine 84-2 with Assistant Chief Mike Melson in command, units found a three car garage fully involved in fire with extension to a dwelling.  The crew of Engine 84-2 was able to contain the fire to the C/D corner and attic of the dwelling.  Primary and secondary searches proved negative.  A water supply using 5” hose was established from the hydrant system on Hickman Road, over 1000’ from the fire.  Units operated for approximately two hours conducting overhaul operations.  The Dagsboro VFD provide coverage for the Millville fire district during the alarm.  The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigation the cause of the fire.
