MVFC approves purchase of new Engine-Tanker

On June 7th, 2022 at the regular meeting of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company the company approved the apparatus committee's recommendation to replace our current 2003 American LaFrance Engine-Tanker.  The current engine-tanker will be 20 years old by the time we take delivery of our new engine-tanker.  The new engine-tanker will be manufactured by E-One and was sold by Patriot Fire in Grasonville, Maryland.  The new engine-tanker and will carry 2500 gallons of water and have a 1500 gpm Hale fire pump.  The new engine-tanker will be on a E-One Typhoon chassis, have a 525 hp Cummins X-12 motor, Allison 4000 EVS automatic transmission.  The new engine-tanker will cost approximately $874,000.00.  The estimated delivery time for the new engine-tanker is 18 months.  The new engine-tanker will be stationed at Fire Station 2 on Omar Road in Clarksville.
