On September 4, 2022 at 0843 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported house fire in the 100 block of Ewing Road in the Bayside Hamlet development off of Cedar Neck Road.  Upon arrival units found a smoke condition inside the residence due to an “Air Fryer” on fire in the kitchen.  The fire was contained to the appliance with no extension to the kitchen itself.  The home was ventilated using a positive pressure fan.  Units that made the response were Engine 84-2, Rescue 84, Engine 84-6, Command 84-8 and two EMS units.  Fire Police controlled traffic in the immediate area.  Chief Guy Rickards had the command.
