On Friday afternoon and evening of January 27^th, 2023 members of the Millville Volunteer Fire Company   were on location at the Millville Boardwalk on Atlantic Avenue in Millville for the “Frozen Boardwalk” event.  The event was sponsored by Millville Boardwalk and the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce Quiet Resorts Delaware as part of the annual Fire & Ice Festival.  Under the careful supervision of Fire Chief Walter Johnson, the MVFC provided a stand-by crew for a bonfire, provided S’Mores to the attendees and gave out fire prevention materials to both young and old alike.  The MVFC auxiliary was instrumental in both preparing and distribution of the S’Mores treats.  The MVFC would like to acknowledge the generous donations from Giant Foods, G & E Market Inc., and Weis Markets for their contribution of S’Mores supplies.  Members cleared the event around 8pm only to return to the firehouse at 6am the next morning preparing for our 2^nd Annual Chili Cook-Off.  Photo credit to Firefighter Mary Ellen Hocker.
