On Wednesday evening January 3, 2024 at 1950 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company, along with the mutual aid box alarm assignment, were dispatched to assist the Bethany Beach VFC with a reported house fire in the 700 block of Radial Drive in the Town of Bethany Beach. Units arrived to find an odor of smoke inside the residence that was found to be an issue with the microwave oven. Millville units assisted with the investigation. Engine 84-2, Engine 84-6, Rescue 84, Traffic Control 84-13 and B-84 made the response. Units operated for approximately 30 minutes before returning to service.
