EMS is commonly all about the moment. Reflecting about your preceding patient might divert you from what is transpiring to the person resting on the stretcher in front of you now. Worrying too much about the next call is not too beneficial, when you have no indication what it might bring. The past embraces immeasurable experiences —whether it is the familiarity of the individuals who train us or the labors and achievements from EMS’s initial days.
This year, as we acknowledge the 50th anniversary of the first National EMS Week, we revere those who came before us, particularly those who defied the status quo and raised the bar for all of us. And at the same time, we look forward, developing on their efforts and committing ourselves to establish a future for the next generation of EMS professionals to serve their communities.
Millville VFC Chief Walt Johnson, EMS Chief Jack Wilson, and the entire membership thank all the full-time and part-time EMS employees for the job they perform daily. Currently, MVFC employs 15 paid EMS employees. They are as follows: Andrew Wally Evans, Tyler Hickman, Megan Hudson, Michael Knowles, Paul Collision, Austin Fannin, Logan Bowden, Eric Upole, TreVaughn Topping, Nicholas Jones, Kevin Hudson, Karis White, Matthew Dodds, and Glenn Johnson Jr.
