On Thursday, 13 June 2024, at approximately 1545 hours, Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to the unit block of Willow Avenue for a fire alarm. This is in the Bear Trap Dunes subdivision.

Millville VFC responded with one engine, one rescue truck, and Fire-Police. Since this alarm was within minutes of the car collision, some of the rescue equipment was compelled to depart the crash site and answer this fire alarm.

The alarm was investigated and rendered safe. The occupants returned to the dwelling.

Lieutenant Max Stong was the officer tasked with commanding this fire scene.
