Smoke in the Building at Millville Town Center

On Sunday July 7th, 2024 at 1451 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the mutual aid box alarm assignment was dispatched to the Hair Cuttery located in the Millville Town Center Shopping Center in Millville for a report of smoke in the building. Units arrived to find a smoke condition within the occupancy. The source of the smoke was determined to be a malfunction of a dryer. Engine 84-2, Engine 84-6, Command 84-8 and Ambulance C-84 made the response. Units operated for approximately 45 minutes. Assistant Chief Guy Rickards had command of the incident.
