On Tuesday afternoon November 26^th, 2024 at 1612 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company along with the Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to the Fairway Village development in Ocean View of a motor vehicle collision involving a school bus.  Units arrived to find a collision involving a school bus and a work truck with no reported injuries.  11 students were evaluated by EMS personnel and again found to be uninjured.  The Sussex County School Bus policy was activated bringing representatives from the respective school district to the scene to handle student re-unification with the student’s parents or guardians.  Rescue 84, Command 84-8, Traffic Control 84-13, Ambulance A-84, Ambulance C-84 and Medic 105 made the response.  Units operated for approximately 30 minutes.  Captain Douglas Scott had command of the incident.  The scene was turned over to the Ocean View Police Department for investigation.
