On Friday afternoon, January 3^rd, 2025 at 1434 hours the Millville Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported grass fire in the 31000 block of Oak Street in the Banks Acres Development.  The alarm was upgraded to a street alarm with a report of exposures adding the Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company to the call.  Units arrived to find the front and side yard on fire that apparently started as a controlled burning.  The fire was brought under control in short order with no extension to the residence.  Rescue 84, Quint 70-5, Traffic Control 84-13, Command 70-8 and Ambulance B-84 made the response.  Units operated for approximately 15 minutes.  Deputy Chief Tom Moore Sr. (BBVFC) had command of the incident.
