@11:00 Fire Alarm - Commercial at Magnolia Tower Condos - arrived to find water flowing through the ceiling and alarm sounding. Under the command of Lt. Wharton Crews found a failed valve and were able to isolate the running water and worked with property manager on next steps with the sprinkler and alarm company. 84-2, 84-4 on scene along with Fire Police and B84 for EMS support.
While on scene, just as we were finishing up, MVFC was dispatched for a box alarm @ 11:36 to a Residential Structure Fire
on Woodland Ave, Ocean View. 84-2 and 84-4 arrived on scene to find a brush fire with extension to a fence. Two lines were pulled and the brush, grass, and fence were extinguished without additional extension. Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company L70, Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department R73, Frankford Vol. Fire Co 76-2, Roxana Volunteer Fire Company 90-5 were on scene. EMS support from B70, B84, and paramedic M105 as well as Fire Police. Chief Wilson had command of the scene.
At 12:47 MVFC was dispatched to Gas Leak on Hemlock Dr in Bethany Meadows. MVFC 84-2, investigated under the command of Deputy Chief Moore (Bethany Beach) and found empty propane tank. The home was investigated for additional presence of gas and found none and cleared the incident. Also on scene: Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company Q70-5 and 70-8 as well as MVFC EMS B84 and C84, and Fire Police.
