Multi-Family Residential Fire Box Alarm Response

March 20, 2025

3/20/25 @ 2:10am MVFC was dispatched for a box alarm to Campbell Pl., Bethany Beach to a Multi-Family Residential Fire.
There was fire and smoke showing through the roof upon arrival. Under the command of Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company Dep Chief Tommy Moore, MVFC was given fire attack assignments and MVFC Chief Doug Scott was in command of 3rd floor fire attack and crew. Six townhome units sustained damage from the fire and there were no reported injuries. All residents were able to escape without incident. The fire is now being investigated by the Delaware Fire Marshal. The boardwalk is open as of early this morning. MVFC units operated for approximately 3 hours clearing the scene at approx. 5:10am. One firefighter was treated on scene for a minor injury.
Fire police, Bethany Beach Police, EMS, and Sussex Medics were there to support scene control, and rehab/medical aid.
