On March 11, 2025, training was conducted by Captain Hess and Assistant Chief Melson. Crews focusing on various hose line scenarios at a multifamily property. In 2025, training is a key priority for MVFC. During this session, crews practiced multiple skills to enhance our fireground operations efficiency. Specifically, we focused on estimating hose lengths accurately, understanding the capabilities of each apparatus, and identifying the available sizes and types of hose lines. Additionally, we worked on hydrant operations. Crews then deployed the different hose lines in simulated fire scenarios.
