MVFC responded to Hockers on Cedar Neck Rd this morning (10/26/2025 7:59am) for a Fuel Washdown. Rescue 84 and Engine 84-2 responded to a trailered boat that experienced a fueling mishap at the gas pumps, resulting in several gallons of fuel outside the fuel system and into the boat's bilge. Millsboro Fire Company responded with DNREC's Emergency Response HAZMAT Trailer to assist with spill mitigation. DNREC also brought additional resources from their Emergency Response crews, providing fuel transfer, clean-up, and disposal. The incident was under the command of career Lieutenant Logan Bowden, and crews remained on scene for approximately 4 hours.
