MVFC Responds to Residential Structure Fire - Hollywood Dr.

Millville Volunteer Fire Company responded to a residential structure fire on Hollywood Drive in the Land of Pleasant Living neighborhood today, May 30, 2026, at approximately 9:16 a.m. The initial call reported visible flames on the back porch. The Millville units Engine 84-2, Engine 84-4, and Tanker 84 responded. Additional support was provided by the Roxana Volunteer Fire Company, Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Company, and Frankford Volunteer Fire Company.
The incident was under the command of MVFC Asst. Chief Hess. Upon arrival, crews observed smoke and found visible fire on the right side of the home. A primary search of the residence located one person in a bedroom, who was safely evacuated. Crews had water on the fire quickly and the fire was under control by 9:38 am. The fire was contained to the rear of the residence and did not extend to the interior. The occupants were not displaced because damage was limited to the exterior. The Fire Marshal is currently investigating the cause of the fire
