Emergency Medical Services

The Millville Vol. Fire Co. provides emergency medical services for the communities of Millville, Ocean View, Clarksville and other unincorporated areas and developments within our fire district. The Millville Vol. Fire Company operates a fleet of four ambulances. The fire company also possesses a retired antique ambulance in mint condition. The units are staffed by 13 full time career EMT/FF, 1 Career EMS Chief and 1 Career EMS Lieutenant along with several part-time employees and numerous dedicated volunteers. The emergency medical service is assisted by Sussex County Paramedics, Delaware State Police Aviation, Maryland State Police Aviation, as well as various municipal agencies. Patients are usually transported to one of four facilities including: Beebe South Coastal in Millville, Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD, and Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD.  The EMS subscription covers the time period July 1 through the following June 30th.  Your medical insurance will be billed for the services provided to you during an emergency situation.  Participation in the subscription program relieves any patient liability for that time period.  The program requires annual renewals.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the EMS Chief at (302) 539-7557.

The Millville Volunteer Fire Company is a 501C3 non-profit organization.
