ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Millville Volunteer Fire Company Inc. is hiring one (1) part-time Administrative Assistant.   The position duties include public relations, general office tasks, some accounting -- assisting with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks. Daily tasks include processing incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, bank deposits, answering phones and directing calls, drafting and editing correspondence, emails and reports.  Additionally, you will assist in maintaining files and databases as well as ordering office supplies and managing inventory.  The position supports the administrative officers of the company.  The primary supervisor is the President.

Skills required:

Organizational skills: Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and maintain records
Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Computer Proficiency:   Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and technology in general, Quickbooks experience a plus.
Attention to Detail: Accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks
Problem-Solving Skills:  Ability to identify and resolve issues.
Customer Service:   Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and visitors.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changing priorities and demands. Multiple deadline management is a necessity

Benefits and Wage:

  • Hourly wage $21.30 per hour
  • 16 hours a week
