On Sunday February 22nd the Millville Dive Team and the Ocean City Emergency Services Dive Team held a joint training session at Salisbury University's Maggs Athletic Center in Salisbury Md. 10 divers participated in the 3 hour drill that covered search patterns, underwater dexterity skills, Ocean Reef's underwater communication system, doffing and donning BC's while underwater as well as extricating subjects using a submergible stretcher. The Millville and O.C. Team's would like to thank SU for their generosity in allowing both teams to drill in their athletic center. If it were not for community partnerships2 such as what SU provides to Fire/EMS agencies around Wicomico, Worcester and Sussex Counties special training such as this would be virtually impossible.
